2003 EX V6 at 60 MPH goes into limp mode

My daughter has a 2003 Sorrento EX V6, when driving at 60mph for approx. 15 miles the car looses power. There are NO codes showing. After 5 minutes the car is drivable again. Then after driving another 1 mile or so it does again.

What does it do when it "looses power"
Did it just die and coat to a stop?
Does it just drop in rpm (running smoothly) but not really accelerate?
Does it have a stutter like it is being turned off and back on?
