2016 sorento sx rear camera failure

The rear camera worked fine until about 2 days ago. It now is completely black sometimes with only the guide lines showing. Then the next time it is fine again. It seems to me that I may have a poor connection or a short somewhere. Does anyone have experience with this and can advise where I should start searching first? Thanks for any help.

We have a 2012 ex and a 2016 sx sorrento’s. We had our ex start having the same problem with the back up camera just before our 100 thousand mile warranty expired. We had to take a picture of it when it was happening to prove it because it wasn’t happening all the time. The camera was going bad and needed to be replaced. Luckily we were able to get the camera replaced under the warranty with a only a few miles left on the warranty.
