2022 serento hybrid rear view mirror

When changing the mirror from a stock, to a home link mirror. I pulled down the plastic to look out to detach stock mirror. There was the camera that was mounted underneath and also another four wire plug-in that was basically plugged into nothing just a holder glued to the glass. Is that the power source that we would be using for the new rearview mirror with home link.

I was wondering if you ever figured this out? I just bought a new 2022 Sorento and I am changing the mirror out also. (cant believe this has to be done) but is that what you used the 4 wire plug-in to power the mirror?
 
Did anyone of you finally resolved this issue, i am also in the midst of changing out the mirror. I also only have the 2 mentions power cable. Is the mirror cable tucked inside the head liner?
 
I just installed a Homelink mirror in my 2022 Sorento that did not even have an auto-dimming one before. You have to purchase the mirror for the Sorento that is specifically designed for vehicles without the UVO mirror. The new mirror comes with a harness that plugs into the new mirror and gets power from the wire harness at the fuse block underneath the dash. It was fairly easy to do. There is no power cable tucked up under the headliner. If you currently happen to have an auto-dimming mirror on your Sorento, then you can plug that harness right into the new Homelink mirror. The photo on the website does not match the look of the mirror you will receive.

@Sparkland, Do you have the item number of the rear-view mirror you ordered for your Sorento? I just got a 2022 Sorento Hybrid and I can’t believe that it didn’t come with a rear view mirror with dimmer when cheaper cars has them as regular stock installed in them.

I just bought a sorento SX and also can’t believe this car doesn’t come with auto dimming mirror or homelink. Can you explain how you get the wiring up from the fuse box? This is ridiculous!!!

I know this is an old thread, but do you remember the wires you tapped into? I bought one from eBay and the dealership that sold it didn't include instructions, any help would be greatly appreciated!
