Bought this 2019 Kia Sorento with about 45K miles. The shift felt kind of funny but I read this is normal. When I first turned on the AC there was a moldy smell in the passenger compartment so I read about a Kia chemical that cleans the coil box and vent system. This was a genuine Kia part. I sprayed it down real good and solved the problem. About 6 months later the drain line must have clogged up and water was pouring into the floor. It was cold clean water, not antifreeze. My mechanic fought to get it cleared out and at the end every time we turn on the air after it has been sitting a while some sort ofinsulation material or fiber stuff blows out of the air vents. Kia looked at it and couldn't find anything wrong. Since it was used we only have about 10K miles left on the warranty. I don't want to pay somebody to do surgery on the ACC coil box right after the warranty runs out. I'm going to cut my losses and trade it in on a new Rav4. I like the Kia but I don't see 200 or 300 thousand miles on it like I got from my Toyotas. Its sad cause we really like the car. It just doesn't seem to be a solid car and if you didn't buy it new yourself the warranty isn't much good. I'll miss the 6 cylinder AWD but I am too old to do my own maintenance and too poor to keep mechanics on staff.
