2014 Kia Sorento. My charge light comes on randomly a/b once per mo. or so (only when starting). It does it and the alt stops charging the batt. It has a new batt, alt & engine ground wire (wire was nearly corroded thru. All I do is open the hood & remove the neg from the batt for a/b 3 seconds & it starts right up & the "Alt" light is cleared.
It's impossible to troubleshoot when it's working properly but when it's not (chg light on), testing points to a bad alternator which is new & normal once I lifts & return Negative battery cable.
Any ideas or suggestions?
