I’ve purchased a 2023 Kia Sorento and have had several problems since my June purchase this year. The first problem was the Idle/Stop and had no idea there was a button to turn it off. My first six weeks the car would rev loudly and want to lurch forward when coming to a stop. Not all the time but about once a week- quite scary- I would slam on the brake and shut car off. The salesman told me about the idle/ stop button after 6 weeks of me bringing it into service three times and service department never told me. Now I turn it off always before driving.
Second problem started about two weeks ago- steering wheel seems stiff: not flexible- not on turns mind you but on straight sways or changing lanes/ I’ve kept it in COMFORT drive mode but does no good. I spent quite a chunk of my savings on this car and will get burnt badly monetarily if I take it back and trade it in. I feel despondent about this almost new car with only 8 k miles on it.

idle stop is a A..button near the shifter...do you have a DTC? many issues with it.. if you have a turbo..you have a DTC...with comfort mode/eco..it slows everything down, including steering..play with the settings
