2016 Kia Sorento LX 88k miles

About 5 months ago I drove the car cross country from west coast to east coast. Car has been working fine but the car would make a low vibrating sound whenever it was driven between 40 - 50mph. We didnt take it seriously since we thought it was the tires at first. About two weeks ago I heard water slosh/bubbles behind dashboard. Checked under hood and saw coolant coming out of coolant reservoir and under the engine. Replaced radiator cap and no longer heard vibrating sounds when driving nor seen any coolant leak under engine or come out of reservoir however I decided to take it to the dealership for further inspection.

After having it there for an hour I was told the following: They found leak at bank 1 back of block. The head bolt being pulled from block causing oil/coolant to leak. Radiator was half a gallon low and that the car needs a new short block.

According to dealership they do not have the part nor do they know when it will be available. They gave me an estimate of $2090 for the part plus $170/h for labor.
Right now the car works fine but im worried about continuing driving it. I will be taking the car to another mechanic to see what they think but has anyone here dealt with this before or thinks the diagnostic sounds about right?

If this is a V6 engine, KIA has an extended warranty on the head bolt issue. They will replace engine free of charge up to 15 years/180000 miles.
