Hello everybody, Daddy here, new Sorento owner (I have a great story as to how this all happened, for another time). First off, I LOVE my car. Yes, it's a 2008 base model, but man, I just really like it. I downsized from my SEVENTH Suburban (empty nest) and this was a great decision.
That said, we all know about the ESC/Loss Of Power issue. I got this issue so I ordered a new accelerator sensor, etc., but decided to just disconnect the battery as a temporary fix, as I've seen people do. So yeah, that "solved" the problem of the lights and power issue. But, I ask, for how long? Is there a problem with the ECM? Or is it simply the Accelerator sensor and it's getting tired?
At any rate, like I said, I love this car (my wife has a 2015 model), and I'm always looking for new knowledge, in everything I do.
Thanks if you want to chime in, please do so.
