Why I started this community

I first noticed the Kia Sorento SX a few years ago. It caught my eye and I started doing some research. Any time I ever research an automobile - the first place I go look for are forums. Forums like this one! But none existed for the Sorento. Yes, there were a few Kia forums out there with a "subforum" for the Sorento, but it was just an afterthought. Nothing like the Kia Telluride forum or the Kia Stinger forum.

I was surprised - because the Sorento is a very well-liked crossover utility vehicle - and it sells quite well. 95,951 were sold in 2019. So how could there be no forum community dedicated to the Sorento? Well, here we are in 2020 and there's still nothing. Until now...

So, let's see if Sorento owners and drivers find the vehicle interesting enough to seek out a Sorento-specific forum community. If you found us - and you like the idea - please share us!

You're right there isn't much out there. And I don't do Facebook so that's not an option for me. It does see weird that nobody started a place like this until 2020. Or maybe they did and it just didn't work out and they deleted it. Let's see what happens here.

Well, it's finally beginning to pick up here. I had a feeling that once people started seeing this SUV on the road, people would be wanting to learn more about it. And now that it's here, we're learning just how good it really is...
