All, I have this problem as well. In order to force Kia to look into it and issue a recall, please file a report here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index
I’ve been having this issue my 2018 as well. Also when the car is off and parked for hours the lights have been coming back on by myself and I have to go out and turn off the automatic switch. We have a 2018 Sorento and the wife has reported that while the lights are set in the “auto” mode that while driving ( during night driving) the lights will shut off. The Kia dealer hasn’t been able to replicate the issue so they can’t repair/replace anything. Has anyone else had this same issue?
I'm having that issue right now. Did they ever solve it?We have a 2018 Sorento and the wife has reported that while the lights are set in the “auto” mode that while driving ( during night driving) the lights will shut off. Yes, this has happened to my wife while night driving. Started when using her turn signals. They would flicker off, but will turn back on when she wiggled the turn indicator. Want to fix, but seeing that dealer will want to replicate the problem. We have a 2018 Sorento and the wife has reported that while the lights are set in the “auto” mode that while driving ( during night driving) the lights will shut off. Yes, happened twice to us; trying to find a solution. We have a 2018 Sorento and the wife has reported that while the lights are set in the “auto” mode that while driving ( during night driving) the lights will shut off. it happens when driving at night in normal night traffic. Once it happened on the Interstate 35 hwy. That sounds pretty dangerous. Could this be happening when she moves into a well-lit parking lot? Or when driving down a dark road?
I have a 2017 Kia Sorento LX and I'm having the same light issues when it's on Auto..I'm going to contact Kia as well as the better business Bureau because I'm reading too many Kia owners with the same dangerous issues especially when they turn off while I'm driving at nightMy 2017 Sorento does the same thing. It appears that the problem is in the knob at the end of the light control arm. I jiggle it and the light’s usually come back on. Sometimes I turn them off and then back on again. I drive unlighted rural roads and this can be dangerous. Will this problem call for a Kia recall?
I have a 2016 and it is doing the same thing. It started out turning off and now it will turn on as well by itself when its sitting in the yard. Its so strange and its dangerous!I woke up this morning to find my eyebrow and brake lights on. While driving day or night the lights either randomly turn on or shutoff. This has happened on multiple occasion. I have a 2017 Sorento.
My head lights have turned off by themselves several times now while driving my 2017 Sorento at night. I just jiggle the light switch and they come back on. There's obviously an issue to be looked at.I have a 2017 Kia Sorento LX and I'm having the same light issues when it's on Auto..I'm going to contact Kia as well as the better business Bureau because I'm reading too many Kia owners with the same dangerous issues especially when they turn off while I'm driving at night![]()
Yes I have the same issue. I haven’t been able to get to the dealer yet but it’s a random thing that happensWe have a 2018 Sorento and the wife has reported that while the lights are set in the “auto” mode that while driving ( during night driving) the lights will shut off.
